Capoeira Mandinga Oakland COVID-19 Social Distance Policy and Procedures (updated June 10, 2020)

  1. At this time, Capoeira Mandinga Oakland will resume some in-person classes as a Social Bubble (as defined by Alameda County Public Health Order 20-14) in open outdoor spaces, without partner training or capoeira games among people from different households.
  2. Students and Teachers agree to check their temperature 1 hour prior to attending any in-person class. Students and Teachers will not attend in-person class if they have a temperature reading of 100° F or higher, prior to class.
  3. Students and Teachers agree to check themselves for the following COVID-19 symptoms prior to attending any in-person class:
    • cough,
    • shortness of breath or difficulty breathing,
    • fever,
    • chills,
    • repeated shaking with chills,
    • muscle pain,
    • headache,
    • sore throat, or
    • new loss of taste or smell.
  4. Students and Teachers agree that they will not attend in person classes if they are experiencing (or have experienced within the past 4 days) two or more of the symptoms listed above. Individuals with symptoms believed to be due to allergies, chronic conditions, or, in the case of muscle pain, training or injury, may still attend in-person classes.
  5. Students and Teachers agree to follow social distancing at all times during, as well as before and after, in person class by taking the following preventative measures:
    • maintaining a distance of at least 6 feet between individuals from different households,
    • washing hands or using hand sanitizer before, during and after class, and
    • wearing a mask when possible.
  6. Students and Teachers agree to bring their own hand sanitizer and masks or face coverings to class.
  7. Students and Teachers agree to follow all COVID-19 guidelines issued by the CDC, and local and state government and public health entities.
