Born and raised in Petaluma, Professora Come Come stumbled upon her life’s passion in 1998 when, on a whim, she signed up for her first Capoeira class at UC Berkeley. Hoping to learn some funky breakdancing moves, she found instead an art that has utterly transformed her life. In 2004, she went to Brazil for a full cultural immersion, training up to 7 hours a day, 6 days a week with world-renowned Capoeira Masters. In 2007, she embarked on a 2-year bicycle journey from São Paulo, Brazil to Petaluma, visiting and conducting research in 50 Capoeira academies along the way.
A student of Mestre Marcelo, Come Come reached the level of “Instrutora” in 2009 and graduated to the level of “Professora” in 2015. She teaches classes for kids and adults at Dance Underground in Petaluma, California and has been invited to teach workshops across the USA.
